Previously, there was news that the upcoming iQOO Neo7 SE will use the Dimensity 8200 chipset. However, until now, the chipset has not been officially released, and its specifications are unknown.
Today, Digital Chat Station has revealed the specifications of the Dimensity 8200. According to the blogger, the Dimensity 8200 is an overclocked version of the Dimensity 8100 chipset and also features the same GPU.
The blogger claims that the Dimensity 8200 will have four Cortex-A78 cores, with one core clocked at 3.1 GHz and the other three clocked at 3.0 GHz. The chipset also has four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz, and the GPU is still Mali-G610 MC6.
The CPU’s power consumption can now be increased to more than 90W. The blogger also mentioned that the smartphone with Dimensity 8200 will be priced at around $280.
The Dimensity 8100 CPU was launched on January 3, 2022. Now, the Dimensity 8200 is expected to launch in mid-December alongside the iQOO Neo7 SE, which is expected to be a more affordable version of the iQOO Neo7.
Judging from these specifications, the Dimensity 8200 may not offer a significant performance upgrade, as it only increases the core frequency.
