Honor 70 Series Scheduled to Launch on May 30

For a long time, there were rumors and leaks that Honor is working on its upcoming main flagship lineup named “Honor 70.” But today, this topic has come to an end as the officials have finally confirmed the existence of this new flagship series.

This morning, Honor (on Weibo) officially announced that the all-new Honor 70 series would be released on May 30. Further, the officials have also revealed the teaser of this lineup in which the backside appearance of one variant (not confirmed which variant it is) can be seen.

As observed, this model has the same design language as its previous models have, but a few differences still can be identified. It still features the same Dual Circle Pill-Shaped Camera module in which the first circle features two camera lenses while the second one features one lens and an LED Flash.

It is also mentioned alongside the module that the primary lens is a 54MP sensor with a 1/1.49” outsole and f/1.9 aperture. Further, the entire backside features a diamond texture giving a crystal look from every side.

As per previous info, it is expected that there will be three models in the Honor 70 series: Standard, Pro, and Pro+ versions. The standard version will feature the all-new Snapdragon 7 Gen1, which Qualcomm has not yet announced; however, its launch is expected in the upcoming event.

Then we have the Pro and Pro+ models, which would feature the latest set of SoCs from Mediatek. It is expected that the Honor 70 Pro will feature the Dimensity 8100 chipset while the Dimensity 9000 flagship chipset powers the top-end version.

Some sources also reported that the Honor 70 series would debut with the all-new Sony’s IMX8 Super-Bottom CMOS lens. Moreover, it would be a customized version specially designed by Sony in collaboration with Honor, and the photosensitive unit’s area will also be larger.

In the coming days, the officials will also reveal the significant highlights of the upcoming flagship series.
