Xiaomi Mi Power Bank (20000mAh) Teardown
On October 11, Xiaomi announced the 20000mAh power bank, and today, we will disassemble it to explore its internal structure.
The power bank consists of six LG 18650 batteries (each with a capacity of 3350mAh and 20000mAh when connected in parallel). There is a temperature sensor that shuts off the output when the temperature is abnormal. The anode of the battery is covered with a black sponge.
Overall, this 20000mAh power bank is well-made. Its internal batteries are covered with cushioning material on the positive and negative terminals, which tightens the contact between the cells and the case.

Compared to the Xiaomi 16000mAh power bank.
The temperature probe is secured between the first and second battery by a Mylar film.
The battery model is LGABF1L1865, manufactured by LG Chem in South Korea. It has a capacity of 3350mAh and a voltage of 4.2V. The Xiaomi 10000mAh power bank uses the same battery.
This is the front of the circuit board, and the internal number of the PCB is PB200_MB_61_150819.
The USB port chip TPS2513 is a dual intelligent recognition chip that supports intelligent identification of two USB output ports, which can reduce charging compatibility issues between Apple and Android devices. It has two output current sampling resistors, near each of the two USB outputs. There is a 2N4B8 MOSFET, each responsible for overload shutdown protection for all USB output ports.

Protection chip: G4JC
Regulated power supply chip: QBUON
The model of the TI chip is BQ25895. It can handle input voltages up to 14V, is compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 at 9V and 12V, and is also compatible with MediaTek Pump Express at 7V, 9V, and 12V.
The voltage and current reached 12.02V and 1.669A, respectively, with a total power of 20.06W, exceeding the rated value of 18W.
How do you actually open it up?
Can you fix it? I have a problem like yours.
Thanks
Sir, my Mi 20000mAh power bank is not charging. When I press the power button, nothing happens, not even an LED shines or blinks. But when I try to charge my power bank, all the LEDs glow constantly. Actually, it was accidentally dropped on the floor. What should I do, sir? Where can I buy this PCB, or how do I replace the switch?
Where should I get a new motherboard?
Hello,
Is there any case where you know what IC is the regulated power supply chip: QBUON?
Marking does not produce any results on Google.
Thank you
Hello, you recognized the following IC onboard with the following marking:
“Regulated power supply chip: QBUON”
What is the actual product code? Is there any datasheet?
Thank you very much for your help!
