Cai Lixing, MediaTek’s co-CEO, has unveiled that MediaTek will release two new products which belong to the Helio P series, including the Helio P40 processor to be launched in the first half of next year on 2018 Mobile platform. The Latest news suggests that MediaTek will launch the Helio P40 and the Helio P70 two high-end processors.
The Helio P40 and the Helio P70 two flagship processors will be built on the 12nm manufacturing process. The two flagship processors support LPDD4X up to 8GB. It will be added AI technology and supports facial recognition, AR/VR and 3D sensor functions.
The P40 chip will consist of four ARM Cortex-A73 cores up to 2.0GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores up to 2.0GHz. It will have Mail G72 MP3 up to 700MHz. The chip support Cat.7 baseband.
The Helio P70 chip will have four ARM Cortex-A73 cores up to 2.5GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores up to 2.0GHz. It comes with Mail G72 MP4 up to 800MHz. The chip will support Cat .12 baseband.
According to Taiwanese industrial chain, Xiaomi will prepare a new full-screen smartphone which will be powered by Helio P40 processor and Helio P70 processor next year. Besides, three manufacturers including vivo, Gionee and OPPO will apply the MediaTek P series processor to their mid-range phones.
