MediaTek is reportedly set to launch its new mid-range chips, the Helio P40 and Helio P70. Today, a Chinese Weibo user leaked a screenshot of the Helio P70’s AnTuTu benchmark scores.
According to leaked images, the Helio P70 chip scored 156,906 on AnTuTu, significantly outperforming the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. Therefore, it is more likely to compete with the Snapdragon 670. However, it is still unclear which processor has better performance.
The MediaTek Helio P70 chip is expected to be built on TSMC’s 12nm manufacturing process. It is expected to consist of four A73 cores at 2.5 GHz and four A53 cores at 2.0 GHz. The chip’s GPU is expected to be 800MHz Mali-G72 MP4. It is estimated to be launched in the second quarter of this year.
