Motorola’s new product launch event will be held on August 5

We have reported that Motorola is developing a new Edge 20 series. This series will include the Edge 20 and Edge 20 Pro. Both devices, along with their specifications and renders, have appeared on multiple certification websites.

This morning, Motorola announced that it will hold a new product launch event on August 5, during which it is highly likely to unveil the Moto Edge 20 series.

In the official announcement post, Motorola used the keywords ‘cutting-edge’ and ‘100 million.’ ‘Cutting-edge’ may refer to the curved screen of the Motorola Edge 20 series, while ‘100 million’ hints at its 100MP main lens. Previous reports indicated that both devices in the series have a 100MP rear camera.

According to previous reports, the Edge 20 series features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a single punch hole and Full HD+ resolution. Both devices are the same dimensions.

The only difference between the two devices is the hardware. The Moto Edge 20 will feature the Snapdragon 778G chipset, while the Edge 20 Pro uses the Snapdragon 870 chipset.

The Edge 20 has a 3760mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging, while the 20 Pro features a 4230mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. Both devices come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
