This morning, Digital Chat Station revealed the major specifications of the upcoming OPPO foldable phone.
The blogger revealed that the OPPO foldable phone will use an inward-folding screen design. He also mentioned that the phone’s outer display has a slightly curved design with a punch hole at the top. Its refresh rate will be limited to 60Hz.
The internal screen will feature a flat design with a single punch hole in the top left corner. This display supports a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The blogger also mentioned that the front camera will use a 32MP lens, but did not reveal whether it will be on the inner or outer screen. The phone features a triple-camera setup (50 MP IMX766, 16 MP IMX481, 13 MP S5K3M5), and the camera module design is similar to the OPPO Reno 6 series. In addition, the side fingerprint sensor will be integrated into the lock screen button.
According to previous reports, the OPPO foldable phone could belong to the OPPO Find series and be named OPPO Find N. Its secondary screen is expected to be about 6.5 inches, while the main screen could reach 8 inches. This foldable phone will be powered by a powerful chipset, such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Snapdragon 888.
According to sources, the OPPO foldable phone may introduce unprecedented innovations, including a self-developed chip and professional-grade imaging technology.
The OPPO foldable phone is expected to be priced at around CNY 10,000 (about $1,565) and will be available in the first half of 2022.
