For a very long time, it has been rumored that OPPO will launch its first-ever foldable phone. And now, as the expected time period, more information regarding the device is getting revealed. This morning, the famous blogger @DigitalChatStation has revealed major specifications info regarding the upcoming device.
As per the blogger, the new OPPO Folding Phone will adopt the inner folding screen solution. He also mentioned that the external/secondary display of the phone has a slightly curved design and would consist of a single punch-hole on top; its refresh rate would be limited to 60Hz only.
While talking about the inner/main display, he mentioned that this display would adopt a straight screen design and features a single punch-hole at the upper left corner. This display supports a higher refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The blogger also mentioned that there would be a 32MP lens on the front side. However, he hasn’t revealed where the front camera is located, whether on the internal or external display. On the backside, there is a triple camera setup (50MP IMX766 +16MP IMX481 +13MP S5K3M5), and the camera module’s design would be similar to OPPO’s Reno 6 series. In addition, there would also be a side fingerprint scanner integrated into the lock screen button.
As per previous news, the new OPPO Folding phone may belong to the OPPO Find series and be named “OPPO Find N.” The secondary screen is expected to be sized around 6.5 inches, while the internal display might be 8 inches.
A powerful chipset like Snapdragon 8 Gen1 or Snapdragon 888+ will be powered on this folding phone. The support for the small window secondary screen function would also be there.
Sources also claimed that we might see the innovation which has never been seen before in the upcoming OPPO folding phone, like the company’s self-developed chips and pro-level imaging technology
The upcoming OPPO Folding Phone price is expected to be around 10,000 yuan ($1565), while the launch might happen in the first half of 2022.
