Realme launched the Realme GT Neo 3 in March 2022. Recently, reports have surfaced that a successor to this series is also on the way.
According to Digital Chat Station, the Realme GT Neo 5 will offer two battery options: the BLP985 is a 5000mAh battery (2425mAh×2) supporting 150W fast charging, and the BLP987 is a 4600mAh battery (2225mAh×2) supporting 240W fast charging.
In many Chinese smartphone brands, we notice that the number 4 is always skipped. Today, Realme has continued this trend, launching the fifth-generation model directly after the third-generation GT Neo series.
The blogger also revealed many other highlights, like the camera specifications. He said that the Realme GT Neo 5 will feature a Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS, which is more powerful than the camera on the GT Neo 3.
The blogger also responded to users’ questions, revealing that the Redmi K60 series will have two different versions: one supports 67W charging, while the other supports 120W fast charging.
It is worth mentioning that the Realme GT Neo 3 was powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset. This series usually features sub-flagship chipsets, so the GT Neo 5 will most likely be powered by the Dimensity 8200.
At the moment, there is no information about the launch time of the Realme GT Neo 5. However, according to our estimates, the phone is expected to be released in the first month of 2023.
