Realme launched the affordable Realme GT Neo 3 in March 2022. Recently, there have been reports that a successor to this lineup is also on the way.
According to Digital Chat Station, the Realme GT Neo 5 will have two battery options. The BLP985 will come with a 5000mAh dual-cell battery (2425mAh x 2) with a charging power of 150W. The BLP987 will come with a 4600mAh dual-cell battery (2225mAh x 2) with a charging power of 240W.
In many Chinese smartphone brands, we have seen that the number 4 is always skipped, and now Realme is adopting the same trend for its GT Neo series’ successor and launching the 5th model after the 3rd one.
The blogger also revealed many other highlights, like its camera details. He said that the Realme GT Neo 5 will feature a Sony IMX890 OIS primary camera, which is more powerful and capable than the camera on the GT Neo 3.
The blogger also replied to a user’s question, revealing that the Redmi K60 series will have two different versions: one supports 67W charging, while the other supports 120W fast charging.
It is worth mentioning that the Realme GT Neo 3 was powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset. This lineup usually features sub-flagship chipsets, so the Realme GT Neo 5 will most probably be powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset.
At the moment, there is no information about the launch time of the Realme GT Neo 5. However, according to our estimates, the phone is expected to be released in the first month of 2023.
