This afternoon, Nubia officially confirmed that it will introduce the Red Magic 6R in an online event on May 27. The official poster didn’t reveal any specs or appearance.
This new device is expected to be a more affordable version of the Red Magic 6. Previous leaks revealed that the word “R” in Red Magic 6R stands for Racing. The device has appeared on various certification websites, with the model number NX666J.
According to previous information, the Red Magic 6R will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a single punch hole. Unlike the standard version, the display resolution will be Full-HD+. It measures 163.03×75.34×8.20 mm and weighs 186 grams.
The phone is also expected to feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, which is based on a 5nm manufacturing process and equipped with a Cortex-X1 super core.
Inside the phone, a 4100mAh battery will be equipped with 55W fast charging, while the standard version comes with 65W charging. The quad-camera setup on the back will have a primary 64MP lens, while on the front, there will be a single 16MP lens in the punch hole.
This will be the second smartphone launch from Nubia this month, while the first is the Nubia Z30 Pro, which was launched yesterday.
