Nubia Red Magic 6R Officially Confirmed To Be Launched On May 27

It was reported that Nubia has been planning to launch a new model in its Red Magic 6 Gaming smartphone series for a long time. The new model was expected to be named Red Magic 6R. Until now, there was no official confirmation regarding the phone. But today, the company has confirmed that.

This afternoon, Nubia officially confirmed that it will introduce the all-new Red Magic 6R on May 27 (at 3 PM Chinese Timing) in an online event. The official poster didn’t reveal any information or the appearance of the device.

It is expected that this new device will be a more affordable version of the Red Magic 6 standard version. From previous leaks, it was revealed that the word “R” in Red Magic 6R stands for Racing. The device has already been spotted on different certification sites with model number “NX666J.”

As per previous info, the all-new Red Magic 6R will feature a 6.67-inch OLED Display which might consist of a single punch-hole, unlike the standard version. The display resolution would be Full-HD+. It also has dimensions around 163.03*75.34*8.20mm and weighs 186g.

The new and more affordable gaming phone from nubia is also expected to feature the latest Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, Snapdragon 888, based on a 5nm manufacturing process and equipped with Cortex-X1 Super Core.

Inside the phone, a 4100mAh Battery will be equipped along with 55W fast charging, while the standard version comes with 65W charging. There would be a quad-camera setup on the back with a primary 64MP lens, while on the front, there would be a single 16MP lens in the punch-hole.

This would be the second smartphone launch from nubia this month, while the first is Nubia Z30 Pro, which was launched yesterday.
