Redmi has officially confirmed that the Redmi 10X will adopt optical image stabilization (OIS) technology. Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi China and General Manager of Redmi, officially announced this news on Weibo this morning.
This is the second Redmi phone to feature OIS technology. The Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition was the first to use this technology.
It is reported that the optical image stabilization system detects shakes at high speed through a gyroscope. The accelerometer inside the phone transmits signals to the optical image stabilization processing terminal, which calculates the displacement that needs to be compensated and then sends the data to the micro-drive motor in real time, quickly adjusting the camera module’s attitude to effectively overcome image blurring caused by phone movement.
The Redmi 10X also features a creatively inspired live-streaming camera. The phone features a quad-camera setup on the back and a 16MP front camera.
The Redmi 10X features a 6.57-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080. It also has a 4420mAh built-in battery. The phone is powered by the Dimensity 820, a 5G chipset based on a 7nm process. The phone has already been spotted on the AnTuTu benchmark with a score of 409,449.
The Redmi 10X is available in four storage options: 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. This time, Redmi will offer multiple color options, such as blue, black, green, pink, red, white, and silver. The price of the phone is still unknown. This phone will become the world’s first device powered by the Dimensity 820 chip.
The Redmi 10X is set to be launched on May 2 at an upcoming event.
