For a long time, it was expected that Redmi would launch a new model in its K60 flagship series that would be named: Redmi K60 Ultra. However, until now, the model was only in rumors. Recently, the officials ended all the rumors by confirming the device’s existence.
This morning, Redmi officially announced that the all-new Redmi K60 Ultra will be launched on August 14 at 7 PM (as per Chinese Timing). In addition, the official has also revealed the specifications and appearance of the device.
Starting from its specifications, the officials revealed that this model would be powered by the Dimensity 9200+ chipset. The chipset is based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process and features a Cortex-X3 Ultra-Core (@3.35GHz), Immortalis-G715 MC11 GPU, and Mediatek T800 5G modem.
The Redmi K60 Ultra also features Independent X7 GPU (with flagship configuration) and brand new violent engine 2.0, providing in-depth bottom-level adjustments and performance leaps.
In the launch poster, the backside appearance of the device can also be observed. It would be available in two color options: Black and Olive Green. The backside features a square-shaped camera bump (chamfered design) with three camera lenses, including a primary 50MP lens and a 2MP macro lens.
As per previous information, the Redmi K60 Ultra will have a 6.7 inches OLED display that would support a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. The device was also spotted on 3C Certification (a few months before), revealing that it would support 120W ultra-fast charging.
The top-end variant would feature 16 Gigs of RAM. The same model is rumored to be launched as Xiaomi 13T Pro in the international market.
In the coming days, Redmi will also reveal other highlights of its Redmi K60 Extreme.
