A month ago, Redmi announced the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, the first phone powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset. However, Redmi seems to still want to extend the Note 12 series.

This morning, Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 12R Pro. The device will go on sale on April 29. Redmi also revealed its specifications and design in the official announcement.

As mentioned, the Redmi Note 12R Pro will feature an OLED display manufactured by Samsung. The display will support a 120Hz refresh rate for a smoother experience. It is also SGS low-blue-light certified for eye protection during long-term use. It is quite interesting that Redmi uses an OLED display in an entry-level device.

The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, an entry-level product manufactured using a 4nm process. Its core configuration includes two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The device will also support dual SIM dual 5G connectivity.

Redmi also mentions that the top storage variant will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The launch poster shows that the Note 12R Pro features a rear dual-camera module with a 48MP main lens.

As for the full specifications, we will have to wait until the first sale day of the Redmi Note 12R Pro, which is April 29.
