The Vivo S17 series has been leaked and rumored for a long time. Even the devices in this lineup are listed on different certification websites, revealing their basic specifications. However, the company has finally ended the leaks by officially announcing the Vivo S17 series.
This morning, Vivo officially announced that the Vivo S17 series will be launched on May 31. The company did not reveal much more in its official announcement other than the release date.
However, thanks to the Digital Chat Station. The blogger revealed the renders of the two phones and their specifications. Before going into details, it is worth mentioning that the series will include three devices: S17e, S17 and S17 Pro. The renders and specifications of the Vivo S17e have already been discussed in one of our articles.
The S17 and S17 Pro will have a 6.78-inch punch-hole curved display that supports 1.5K resolution and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The S17 series will have a plastic frame with a thickness of 7.46 mm and a weight of about 188g.
The S17 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. The S17 is rumored to come with a Snapdragon 7 series chipset (most likely Snapdragon 778G or 782G).
The Vivo S17 Pro comes with a triple camera module that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766V lens, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto lens that supports 2x optical zoom. The S17 will have a dual-camera module but no telephoto lens.
The S17 series will support 80W fast charging. However, the S17 Pro is known to come with a 4500mAh battery. Additionally, optical in-display fingerprint recognition is a significant highlight of the vivo S17 series.
