It was previously revealed that Vivo would officially announce its folding phone on Monday, and the things went in the same pattern. Today, the company has officially unveiled the date for the upcoming Spring Product Launch Event, covering three new models: Vivo X Note, Vivo X Fold, and Vivo Pad.
In the current official announcement, Vivo has revealed that the company’s first-ever folding screen is from the “Folding-Screen 2.0 Era.” However, they haven’t cleared the meaning of it. The company has also mentioned the slogan for their new device, i.e., “Big and Integrated.”
A few sides of Vivo X Fold can be observed in the official teaser in which the new folding phone seems like another ordinary folding-screen phone. In contrast, the company hasn’t revealed the whole appearance, so we can still expect something unique, innovative, and premium from this device.
As per info, the codename of Vivo X Fold is “Butterfly,” also the butterfly in wallpaper, denoting the same thing. Previously, the codename for OPPO Folding phone was “Peacock.” Having the same parent company, both companies have a bit of naming resemblance.
The sources claimed that the new Vivo X Fold would feature a 6.53 inches OLED External Display having Full-HD+ resolution, a 4600mAh battery in addition to 80W wired fast charging, and 50W wireless charging support. The thickness of the device would be only 6.28mm.
It is expected that the company will reveal more information regarding the new folding phone in the coming days. For knowing the specs of other devices which are part of this event, check out our previous article.
