Vivo Y55s 5G specifications and renders revealed by China Telecom

A few days ago, we reported that Vivo is developing a new mid-range smartphone, the Vivo Y32, but the company’s research and development efforts have not stopped there. This morning, another new device in the Vivo Y series appeared on a Chinese certification website.

The device is named Vivo Y55s 5G and was listed on the China Telecom website along with its basic specifications and renders.

The Vivo Y55s features a 6.58-inch U-shaped notch display with Full HD+ (2408 x 1080) resolution. The body measures 163.87 x 75.33 x 9.17 mm and weighs about 199.8 grams. The device seems slightly heavy.

The Vivo Y55s is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. This chipset is built on a 7nm process and has a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz (Cortex-A76 core). It also has an integrated Mali-G72 CPU.

The device’s camera specifications are also slightly lower. The phone uses a dual-camera setup arranged vertically in a rectangular module (50MP, 2MP). On the front, there is an 8MP lens in the display notch.

The phone also has a 6000 mAh battery and supports 18W charging. The device also integrated a side fingerprint sensor in the lock screen button. It also features a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

This phone is available in only one storage version: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, priced at CNY 1,899 ($299). Color options include Ceramic Black, Lake Blue, and Cherry Pink Meteor. The Vivo Y55s will be released on December 4.
