For a long time, it was rumored that Xiaomi would launch the all-new Xiaomi 12 flagship in the last week of December, but now the officials have put the discussion to an end by confirming the exact launch date.
This morning, Xiaomi has officially announced (through Weibo) that the upcoming Xiaomi 12 flagship series will be launched on December 28 at 19:30 (Chinese Timing) at a launch conference.
The officials also mentioned: “The faster and more stable Mi 12 opens a new chapter in 2022 at full speed at a new and stable speed,” which denotes the blessing of new Snapdragon 8 Gen1 on Xiaomi 12 flagship would take the performance to another level.
The official announcement hadn’t revealed anything more except the launch date. However, as per previous info, it was revealed that the new Xiaomi 12 series would feature three models: Xiaomi 12X (the lowest position in the series), standard Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
It is worth mentioning that Xiaomi 12X is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 5G sub-flagship chipset, while the other top variant will feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset, now features the upgraded Cortex-X2 super core for excellent performance.
In terms of inside configurations, it was also revealed that standard Xiaomi 12 would feature a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. At the same time, the Xiaomi 12 Pro would support a higher 120W super-fast charging with a standard 5000mAh larger battery cell.
It is also expected that all these models would feature an OLED display (manufactured by Weiqu) with a higher 120Hz refresh rate.
The officials are expected to reveal more information regarding the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series in the coming days.
