This morning, the company has officially confirmed that the all-new Xiaomi Mi 11 series would feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset “Snapdragon 888 5G”. The Mi 11 will be the first to feature this chipset.
The company has mentioned “just like entering a no-man’s land full of treasures” in the official post. It is accurate as there is no phone currently in the market which features this chipset. So there may be no competition for this smartphone for a few times. But many other companies are now planning to use this chipset in their smartphones.
If we look at the Snapdragon 888 5G specifications, it is an octa-core chipset based on a 5nm manufacturing process. The chipset consists 1x Cortex-X1 Super Core (@ 2.84GHz), 3x Cortex-A78 cores (@ 2.42 GHz) and 4x energy-efficient cores (clocked @1.8GHz). The chipset also features Adreno 660 (10-cores) GPU.
The phone was also spotted on Geekbench, on which it scored around 1.1k points on single-core, while on multi-cores, it has scored 3.6k around points. The scores are excellent if compared with previous models.
As previously reported, it is expected that the Mi 11 series will feature a hyperboloid curved screen. The pro version is also expected to feature a 2K (1440p) resolution display. All the Mi 11 series models would feature a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth in the display.
The live photos of standard Mi 11 are already available on the internet in which it is can be seen that there is a triple rear camera setup in a square design with two large sensors and a small sensor above the LED light.
The all-new Mi 11 series will be launched on 28th December.
