Yesterday, ZTE announced that it will launch the ZTE Axon 40 series phones on May 9. However, the device’s specifications and design have not yet been revealed.

This morning, ZTE announced the camera specifications for the Axon 40 Ultra. The phone will feature a triple camera system with three 64MP lenses, each serving a different shooting purpose.

The first lens is a custom 64MP ultra-wide-angle lens, but ZTE did not disclose the field of view. The second lens is also a custom 64MP lens, but it is designed as a custom portrait camera. Finally, there is a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, but ZTE did not mention its specific zoom capabilities. It is worth noting that the camera module features a rectangular design.

ZTE has not yet revealed the specifications of the front camera. However, previous rumors indicate that the Axon 40 Ultra will feature ZTE’s third-generation under-display camera technology.

The Axon 40 Pro and Axon 40 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. This chipset is built on a 4nm process and features a Cortex-X2 super core, an X65 5G modem, and an Adreno 730 GPU.
