As progress continues to happen in the smartphone industry, we can see that almost every manufacturer is launching new models every week. This morning, the Black Shark (Gaming Brand of Xiaomi) has confirmed that the company will introduce the new flagship models soon.
Today on Weibo, Black Shark has officially announced that the company will launch the all-new Black Shark 5 series on March 30 at 7 PM (Chinese Timing). However, the company hasn’t revealed anything more except the launch date in the first warm-up post of the upcoming flagship series.
The company has also used the slogan “Breaking through Gravity” for representing the Black Shark 5 series.
Previously, both models (Standard and Pro) from the Black Shark 5 series were also listed on TENAA Certification, which revealed almost every single device specification.
Both models feature the same 6.67 inches AMOLED Display with Full-HD+ resolution and a higher refresh rate. At the same time, a slight difference between dimensions and weight has also been observed.
The standard model has the following dimensions and weight: 83*76.25*10.37(mm) and 223g, while the Pro version’s dimensions and weight is: 86×76.53×9.8(mm) and 226g. Both models also feature the same 4650mAh Battery and 100W Fast Charging.
In terms of chipset, the standard Black Shark 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 870 sub-flagship model, while the Pro version features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset. It is worth mentioning that the company has been using the Snapdragon 870 chipset in the standard model of the last two predecessor series.
In terms of camera, the standard model features a triple camera setup with a primary 64MP lens on the backside, while a 13MP has been placed on the front side. The Pro model also uses the triple camera setup with a higher 108MP main lens. The same 13MP lens (from the standard model) has been used on the front side.
It is expected that the officials will reveal more specifications in detail in the upcoming days.
