A few days ago, we reported that the Galaxy S21 FE had been listed on the FCC certification. Recently, the phone has been certified by TENAA.
The certification has revealed the full specifications and renders of the device. As mentioned in the certification, the Galaxy S21 FE will feature a 6.4-inch display with 16M color depth and Full-HD+ resolution (2340x1080p).
The images make it hard to observe if the display has a front-facing camera, but it will have a single hole in the center. It is also expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone measures 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9 mm.
The dimensions mentioned in the certification are 155.7×4.5×7.9mm, which doesn’t seem right as the width can’t be 4.5mm. Therefore, we deduce that the dimensions should be 74.5mm, which is the same as the width of the Galaxy S20 FE. In addition, the phone weighs about 176g.
The design of the camera module on the back is similar to that of the Samsung S21 series. It has three lenses: 32MP + 12MP + 8MP. On the front, there is only one 12MP lens. The fingerprint sensor is located below the display. The Galaxy S21 FE will also be dust and water-resistant.
The Galaxy S21 FE’s overall size and display size have been reduced. This time, the device might feel more premium when handled.
The certification also states that the Galaxy S21 FE features a 4370mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 45W. It is worth mentioning that the sources claim there will be no charger in the box. The phone will be available in two storage options: 8+128GB and 8+256GB.
In the certification, the Galaxy S21 FE has the model number SM-G9900, which denotes the Chinese version of this phone. In addition, the Chinese and US variants will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. In other regions, the company will use the Samsung Exynos 2100.
Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S21 FE after the launch event of the Galaxy Z series foldable phones, maybe in September 2021 (like last year).
