A few days ago, we reported that Samsung’s upcoming affordable flagship phone had been listed on FCC Certification. Recently, the same smartphone has once again got listed on another certification site. This time, the Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition or Lite version) has been certified by TENAA Certification.
The certification has revealed the complete specifications and renders of the device. As mentioned in the certification and can be seen in the renders, the upcoming Galaxy S21 FE will feature a 6.4 inches display with 16M Color Depth and Full-HD+ resolution (2340*1080p).
In the image, it is hard to observe whether the display has a front camera or not, but this display would feature a single punch hole in the center as per sources. It is also expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate. The overall dimensions of the phone would be 155.7*74.5*7.9mm.
In certification, the mentioned dimensions are 155.7*4.5*7.9mm, which seems wrong as the width ‘4.5mm’ is not possible, so we conclude that the dimensions would be 74.5mm, the same width in the old model. Furthermore, the phone weighs around 176g.
On the backside, the camera module design is similar to Samsung’s S21 lineup. In total, we have three lenses: 32MP+12MP+8MP. While on the front side, we have a single 12MP lens. The fingerprint sensor is placed under the display. It is also mentioned that the Galaxy S21 FE will be dust & water-resistant (Maybe IP68 certified like the previous model).
It is observed that in terms of physical appearance, the overall size & display size of Galaxy S21 FE has been reduced. Maybe, this time, the device might feel more premium while handling.
In certification, it is also written that the Galaxy S21 FE features a 4370mAh battery with support of fast charging up to 45W (as revealed in FCC Certification). It is worth mentioning that the sources are claiming there would be no charger in the box. The phone would be available in the following two storage options: 8+128GB and 8+256GB.
In the certification, the Galaxy S21 FE has the model number, “SM-G9900” which denotes the Chinese version of this phone. In addition, the Chinese and US model will feature the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 888. While in other regions, the company will use its own flagship chipset, Exynos 2100.
It is expected that Samsung will release its all-new Galaxy S21 FE after the launch (UNPACKED) event of Galaxy Z series foldable phones, maybe in September 2021 (like last year).
