This morning, Ice Universe revealed the display specifications of the Galaxy Watch 6 series. According to the blogger, the Galaxy Watch 6 will be available in two variants: a 40mm variant and a 44mm variant.
The Galaxy Watch 6 40mm variant will feature a 1.31-inch round display that supports 432 x 432 resolution. The screen size has increased by 0.11 inches compared to the Watch 5 40mm variant (1.2-inch display in the Galaxy Watch 5 40mm with a 396 x 396 resolution).
The Galaxy Watch 6 44mm variant will feature a 1.47-inch round display that supports 480 x 480 resolution. The screen size has increased by 0.07 inches compared to the 44mm Watch 5 version (1.4-inch display in the Galaxy Watch 5 44mm with a 450 x 450 resolution).
Both variants of the Galaxy Watch 6 were also listed on the South Korean certification site, which revealed that the Galaxy Watch 6 40mm variant will have a 300mAh battery. The 44mm variant will have a 425mAh battery.
There is very little news about this smartwatch at the moment. However, there are reports that the Galaxy Watch 6 will feature a curved screen design, just like the Galaxy Watch Active 2. BOE will be the main display supplier for this watch lineup.
The Galaxy Watch 6 is expected to launch alongside the new Galaxy Z series and Galaxy Tab S9 series at the upcoming UNPACKED event, which is likely to be held in August 2023.
