A month ago, we reported that the Vivo company has applied for some new trademarks. The application of trademarks also includes the “iQOO U” trademark. Recently, the company “iQOO” has officially confirmed (on Weibo) its first U series smartphone. The phone is named “iQOO U1”, “Performance Little King Kong.” The model number is “Vivo V2023A,” which is already spotted on Geekbench and many other sites.
All the specifications regarding the phone are also listed on the official website now. The phone is equipped with a single punch-hole LCD, which sizes about 6.53 inches. The display got a resolution of 2340x1080p (Full-HD+) with an aspect ration of 19:5:9. The screen-to-body ratio of phone is 90.72%, and there is thick bottom chin too. The phone got dimensions about 162.05×76.61×8.46mm and weighs around 190g.
Inside the phone, the mid-range chipset “Snapdragon 720G” has been used, which is an octa-core processor, based on the 8nm process with Adreno 618 GPU. The chipset is excellent for gaming and multitasking purposes at the mid-range level. The phone uses a 4500mAh lithium battery with an 18W dual-engine flash charge.
Looking at the renders of the phone, it can be seen that it got a shiny back (maybe a plastic back). There is also “iQOO” branding at the bottom-left of the phone’s back. There is a micro USB port used for charging purposes with a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom side.
On the camera side, the phone got a triple camera setup (48MP+2MP+2MP), arranged vertically in a rectangle bump, while the front camera is of 8MP. There is also an LED flash under the rear camera. On the right side of the phone, there is also a side fingerprint scanner in the lock screen button of the phone, while the facial recognition is also supported.
The phone is available in three variants: 6+64GB for 171USD, 6+128GB for 200USD, 8+128GB for 230USD. The UFS 2.1 storage and LPDDR4X memory have been used on the phone. The color variety includes three colors: Star Blue, Mysterious Black, Sunny Frost White. The launch is expected before the end of the month.
