Yesterday, OnePlus officially announced that the all-new OnePlus Ace 2V will launch on March 7 at 2:30 PM (per Chinese timing). And as expected, the company started to reveal the teasers of its upcoming device. Yesterday, the company announced the color scheme of its forthcoming model, and today they have revealed a significant highlight.
This morning, OnePlus officially revealed that the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2V will be powered by Dimensity 9000 chipset from MediaTek. The chipset isn’t the latest one from Mediatek, but it still can perform well.
In the official poster, the company mentioned, “Better chips can bring smoother operating experience, less stuttering, stronger network capabilities, better video capabilities, and better game optimization.” Further, it was also previously known that this model would be powered by a Dimensity chipset, as confirmed by Pete Lau.
In terms of specifications, the Dimensity 9000 is based on TSMC’s N4 (4nm-class) production process and consists of the following cores: 1x Cortex-X2 Ultra-Core (@3.05GHz), 3x Cortex-A710 Performance Cores (@2.85GHz) and 4x Cortex-A510 Energy-Efficient Cores. The chipset features Mali-G710 MC10 GPU.
Previously, the device was also listed on the AnTuTu Benchmark site, which revealed a decent benchmark score according to the chipset’s specifications.
Regarding other specs, the OnePlus Ace 2V features a 6.74 inches Single Centered Punch-Hole OLED Straight Display with narrow bezels and supports 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Inside the punch-hole, a 16MP selfie lens is also equipped.
On the backside, the smartphone features a triple camera setup and comes in two ring camera design. The first ring features a 64MP primary lens, while the second comprises an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. The battery capacity of the OnePlus Ace 2V is expected to be 5000mAh, along with 80W charging support.
It is expected that OnePlus will reveal more teasers of its OnePlus Ace 2V until the launch event (i.e., on March 7).
