In April 2023, ASUS launched the ROG Phone 7 series, and both models are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors. Since the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is now available in the market, it seems that the company now wants to launch the next-generation model before the end of this year.
This morning, a new model from ASUS, which carries the model number ASUS_AI2141_A, was listed on 3C Certification. As per sources, the model belongs to the next generation model ASUS ROG Phone 8, which the company might launch soon.
As mentioned in the certification, the new model will be equipped with ASUS’s 65W charger that would support charging at the following modes: 15W (5V/3A), 27W (9V/3A), 45W (15V/3A) and 65W (20V/3.25A). Compared with last year’s model, the company has put the same charging technology in the newer model as well.
Except for this, there is no more specification information in the 3C Certification. However, it was previously reported that the entire ASUS ROG Phone 8 series will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset.

The chipset is based on a 4nm manufacturing process and consists of an all-new Cortex-X4 Ultra Core (clocked @3.3GHz). In addition, it also features 5x Cortex-A720 P-Cores (3x clocked @3.15GHz and 2x clocked @2.96GHz) and 2x Cortex-A520 E-Cores (clocked @2.26GHz).
At the moment, the information regarding the ASUS ROG Phone 8 is minimal. However, the listing on 3C Certification ensures that the company is working on this model, and it will be launched soon.
