There were many rumors that OnePlus might not launch the OnePlus 8T Pro, and it now seems that these rumors are true.
This morning, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau officially confirmed that the OnePlus 8T Pro will not be produced. He also mentioned that users who prefer Pro-level products could continue using the OnePlus 8 Pro.
He also emphasized, “Our plan for it is itself defined in a direction where there is no room for upgrade.”
Previously, it was reported that the OnePlus 8T will feature a 2.5D AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also provide the same refresh rate or lower (90Hz) during gaming.
The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset, which is an octa-core chip with a maximum frequency of 3.1 GHz.
The OnePlus 8T has a 4500mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging, which can charge the phone about 70% in just 20 minutes. It also uses a Dual Type-C cable.
The phone is set to launch at an online event on October 15.
