Back in November 2022, Honor introduced its Honor 80 flagship series. The entire lineup consists of five models; the basic model was powered by Dimensity 900, while the high-end model was powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset. However, as per the latest leaks, the company seems to be looking forward to releasing the successor models.
This morning, a new device from Honor with model number “REA-AN00” got listed on 3C Certification, and according to the sources, this model belongs to the Honor 90 standard edition. The 3C Certification has revealed the charging specifications of Honor 90.
As mentioned, the Honor 90 will support a maximum of 66W charging and will use the same 66W charger that Huawei released with its Mate40 series. The charger will come under Honor branding and will support charging in the following modes: 10W (5V/2A), 40W (10V/4A), and 66W (11V/6A).
If compared with the previous generation model (Honor 80), the company hasn’t upgraded the charging power.
As per previous news, the new Honor 90 lineup is expected to have almost the exact specifications as in Honor 80 series. However, very little change is expected.
It was previously reported that the same chipset would power the Honor 90 Pro as in Honor 80 Pro, i.e., Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 with 3.0GHz peak frequency. Moreover, the display resolution and primary camera sensor would also be the same.
It is worth mentioning that Honor 80 Pro uses the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 200MP primary sensor but was limited to capturing only 160MP shots. It is expected that Honor might allow capturing 200MP images in its upcoming Honor 90 Pro.
At the moment, the information regarding Honor 90 lineup is very minimal. However, it is expected to be launched in May 2023.
