A few months ago, Nubia launched its Red Magic 5S with Snapdragon 865. The phone was not equipped with the latest Snapdragon chipset of that time. It is reported that Nubia is now working on the successor of Red Magic 5S, which would be launched with the latest Qualcomm’s flagship chipset.
Today, the President of ZTE (Ni Fei) has officially confirmed that the Nubia Red Magic 6 is also on its way. The CEO has confirmed the existence of the smartphone by posting its charging specifications.
As mentioned, the Nubia Red Magic 6 will be equipped with a 4500mAh Battery & 120W Super Flash Charging Support. The charger is named as “Gallium Nitride fast charger.” The whole Battery maybe charged in 15 minutes as other smartphone manufacturers are also providing this feature.
It is confirmed that the new generation of this gaming smartphone series will feature Snapdragon 888 5G Chipset. In December 2020, when Snapdragon 888 5G was launched, Qualcomm also revealed the list of manufacturers developing Snapdragon 888 powered smartphones.
Nubia was also mentioned in that list. The Snapdragon 888 5G is an octa-core chipset based on a 5nm manufacturing process. It comes with 1x Super Cortex-X1 core clocked @2.84GHz.
The President didn’t revealed any launch date information, but it is expected that this smartphone may be launched next month. The upcoming Black Shark 4 (from Xiaomi) will be the competitor of this smartphone.
