Xiaomi Pad 6 Max and Redmi Pad 2 Got Got 3C Certification, Charging Specs Revealed

A few months before, Xiaomi introduced its Xiaomi Pad 6, powered by a sub-flagship category chipset (Snapdragon 870). In addition, Redmi also introduced its first-ever tablet in October 2022, last year. As per the latest news, both brands are working on a new model for their tablet lineup.

This morning, two new models (one from Xiaomi and the other from Redmi) got listed on the 3C Certification. The first model carries the model number “2307BRPDCC” and is reportedly the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, which would probably be a large display version of the standard Xiaomi Pad 6.

The other device carries the model number “23073RPBFC” and is expected to be the successor of the Redmi Pad lineup, i.e., Redmi Pad 2.

The expected Xiaomi Pad 6 Max supports a maximum fast charging of 67W. It uses the MDY-12-EF charger which supports charging at following mode: 15W-67W (5-11V, 3-6.1A), 15W (5V, 3A) and 31W-67W (5-20V, 6.2-3.25A).

The following device Redmi Pad 2, supports a maximum 22.5W charging. As mentioned, the company will ship the following charger with Redmi Pad 2 “MDY-09-EK” (or MDY-14-ER), which supports a maximum of 18W charging, while the 22.5W charger (MDY-11-EM) will be optional for buyers.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max would probably have the same internal parameters regarding specifications. However, the display specs would be different. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 5G chipset, the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865 5G chipset.

If we look at Redmi Pad 2’s specifications, it is reportedly powered by Snapdragon 680. The chipset is based on a 6nm manufacturing process and features the following cores: 4x Cortex-A73 P-Cores (clocked @2.4GHz) and 4x Cortex-A53 E-Cores (clocked @1.9GHz).

At the moment, there is no launch information regarding both devices. But both are expected to be launched next month (August 2023).
