Possible Huawei P50 Got 3C Certification With 66W Charger

Huawei is expected to introduce its upcoming P50 flagship series at the end of this month. As the expected time is coming near, more things regarding the new flagship series are getting revealed.

This morning, a model number JAD-AL50 has been listed on the Chinese 3C Certification site. This model number might belong to the standard & 4G version of the Huawei P50 series as per our sources. The same model number has already been spotted on different certification sites in the past.

As mentioned in the certification, the expected Huawei P50 4G version will support the same 66W charger used in the Mate40 series. Until now, Huawei is giving the chargers along with its phone, so we can expect that this 66W charger will be shipped along with the phone.

The charger supports charging in following modes: 10W (5V, 2A), 40W (10V, 4A) & 66W (11V, 6A) maximum. The applicant for this certification is Huawei Device Company Limited. We can say that this would be a flagship device as Huawei usually ships the 66W chargers with its flagship models.

As mentioned above, the same model number was previously listed on the TENAA Certification in which it was running the Harmony OS.

We already reported that the production of 4G models in the Huawei P50 series would be higher than the 5G variants, this time. The latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 888 4G, will power the Huawei P50 4G version, while the chipset in the 5G version is may be different.

Currently, Huawei is allowed to use only 4G supported SoCs from Qualcomm but not the 5G chipsets. We can conclude that the prices of 4G models will be lower with almost the same performance, and the availability of models will be possible in almost every region (where 5G is not currently launched yet).

In terms of appearance, the Huawei P50 series will be similar to the Honor 50 series design. The new flagship series will consist of the following models:  P50 standard version, P50 Pro & P50 Pro+, while some other models like P50 lite edition or youth edition will be launched later.

Currently, it is expected that the Huawei P50 series will be launched on July 29.
